Summer Courses at Bridges Academy

Summer Courses at Bridges Academy

Bridges Academy is pleased to announce the release of its enrichment and talent development courses for summer 2024. We offer a broad variety of courses in language arts, visual arts, science, and music, as well as groups for Dungeons & Dragons and other gameplay.  Courses typically last one week, and this year’s program begins on June 3. Registration is open.

Our catalog features classes at our Los Angeles campus and online. Additional courses also will be offered at our Seattle campus for currently enrolled Bridges Seattle students; those options will be announced when available.

Bridges summer courses are open to gifted and twice-exceptional learners in Grades 4-12 (specific age guidelines can be found on each course page). For Los Angeles and online courses, any non-Bridges student — such as a prospective student or a friend or family member of a currently enrolled student — must contact the summer program and admissions teams prior to registration to ensure we can properly meet the student’s needs. Please email us here: admissions@summeratbridges.com.

The 2024 summer program runs from June 3 through July 19 —with no classes on June 19 or the Week of July 1 — for Los Angeles and online; Seattle dates will be announced shortly. View the current offerings here — and be sure to check back as courses are added and availability is updated.

Important information for parents:

Please note that while our summer program is designed primarily for gifted and twice-exceptional learners, we do not necessarily offer all of the same features that are available during the regular school year. Faculty and staff are always on campus, but we do not have counseling support available at the school every day. Classroom sizes and age/grade mixes also can vary from what is typical during the academic year. Each course page indicates the number of instructors and the maximum enrollment for that specific course, along with the age range. Please contact Jon Baum (info@summeratbridges.com) and/or the specific course instructor with any questions or concerns.

During summer sessions we will continue to use the same lunch service program, School Eatery, we used during the school year. Lunch needs to be ordered by 5 p.m. a day in advance. Additional information will be provided prior to the start of the summer program. There may be other lunch options for specific courses; please check the various course descriptions for additional information.

If you have specific concerns about your student’s participation and any supports or classroom setups they may need, please reach out (jon.baum@bridges.edu).
